City of Saginaw MI -
Street Lighting

Approximately 7200 street lights are maintained throughout the City. Street lights include cobra head, decorative and bollard style lights. Approximately 1000 street lights are relamped every year as part of routine maintenance, and approximately 850 lighting complaints are responded to annually. In an effort to identify opportunities to reduce cost of services, the city continually evaluates new technology for energy savings and has installed light emitting diode (LED) street lighting and had evaluated induction lighting. To issue a street lighting complaint, please contact the City's Call Center at 989-399-1311. When issuing a complaint, please indicate the nearest house address or intersection to better facilitate service response.

Enhanced Law Enforcement Response to Victims Initiative:

The Saginaw Police Department is one of only three law enforcement agencies in the country that has been selected to participate in a unique program designed to help reduce crime, support victims, and enhance public safety. We ask that the residents of Saginaw participate in this anonymous survey being conducted by Saginaw Valley State University. Your participation will help the City of Saginaw Police Department expand its capacity to meet the needs of crime victims, and broaden those services where a need is indicated. This short survey is available online at the following button:
